Welcome to the new version of DM

Below you will see a list of all the changes between this version and the previous version of DeathMatch as well as those still to come

Changes

Network Points
The use of network points has been drastically changed - We accepted that they did not provide the result that we envisioned for them and created a have and have not culture within the game.

For that reason we have removed them as a requirement from the villa walls & panic rooms, as well as the bodyguards Rob & Mia

This means that everyone can now have these items if they wish to have them. In order to keep them exclusive to some degree their network point requirement has been replace by a drastic increase in their cash cost. A wall for example will set you back $37,750,000.

Rob & Mia also now have a secondary requirement - they now join Lex in requiring the rank of Local Chief (as well as a lot more money)

However Network points are still useful however (which is why they system has not been removed from the game) as they will add to your attack & defence in the kill algorythm.

Spot Benefits

In order to fix the situation of dupes being placed in a family to farm rankpoints until your main account dies - there is a nice new rule applied to the spot rewards.

If the member does not have at least and activity level of 6 (slightly more than is needed for image codes to appear) then they will not get the payout.

So your dupes that just sit there, they will get nothing as they did nothing to help the family

Rebirth Seperation

The rebirth benefits that were previously link to bodyguards, are now independant. This means that when you die you will have all of the possible rebirth options open to you.

They are now as a result based on your rank at time of death. This means that you no longer have to select your gaurds based on what you want in the next account and that you will have a rebirth benefit even if all of your BG\'s snuff it.

Still to Come
- Family levelling system - this is not finished just yet and you will get it as soon as it is ready
- Supply and Demand - This needs a few final tweaks and will be live asap

So enjoy

oh and for the players that do not know of it the voucher that was created for http://www.thirteen1.com Has now been reactivated for your use

1) the price of c4 should also go up to balance the cost between buying villa and extras to the cost of destroying them

2) you changed the spot system to discourage duping, but gave them an even better reason to dupe by making network points a part of the kill and defense algorithm. network points should just be taken from the game or be used for something completely new that does not have such an important role in the game play.

the network points will be eventually completely phased out - and the impact of nwp is only minimal - it was just to give users a reason to still set mentors really while it is still here

i am also looking into the c4 cost issue

The wall etc. prices are too unrealistic, c4 for extreme high prices would be too much aswell..

about NWP: the impact on attacking/defending was always given, this isn\'t new, people.
deleting it completely is also fine by me.

maybe disable the detective costs getting higher by HPs.. this way people use HPs as a strategic instrument (buying them).

(also i\'d like to see a button, where in the outbox you can delete all messages, that were read.)

NWP have not been taken into account in the KA - it was panned but removed - and has been removed again (see new news item)

Cost of items is to keep them exclusive and to make you choose between wall & safehouse combo or Rob/Mia as having all of the above it going to take a lot of work indeed

I don\'t get what you meant Drunkengamer.

Right now, is the system is removed or not ?

Because i\'m seeing unhappy peoples about the atk/def system ..

As you said, this system hadn\'t the impact you expected.

NWP have NO affect on the KA - when players said they didn\'t like it I reverted that change

NWP are now effectively for show only till I can remove them completely - they do nothing

Drunkengamer what you think of what I suggested?

interesting concept, I will take a look into whether that could be done in a timely manner for the future to keep both exclusivity and lower costs

What about busters? If all they do is bust people out of jail, will their activity level be too low to get the benefits (I also play on .com, and because all I do is bust, I never get codes)?

Busters make that choice - but look on the plus side you won\'t get rankpoints
